Violinist Guy Braunstein was born in Tel-Aviv,Israel and studied the violin under the guidance of Prof. Chaim Taub and later in New York with Pinchas Zukerman. He started performing as a soloist and a chamber musician at a young age,worldwide. He played with orchestras like the Israel Philharmonic, the Copenhagen Radio Orchestra, Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich, the Berlin Philharmonic and many others. His success brought him to stages like the Barbican center in London, Philharmonie in Munich, Carnegie Hall in New York and many others where he was collaborating with Musicians like Issac Stern,Yefim Bronfman, Zubin Mehta, Sir Simon Rattle, Maurizio Pollini, Daniel Barenboim etc.
In 2000, Braunstein was appointed 1st concertmaster of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra under Claudio Abbado and later under Sir Simon Rattle.
Since 2003 Guy Braunstein is a Professor of music in the University of the arts (UDK) in Berlin. In 2006 he became music director of the Rolandseck Festival in Germany.
